The entire 12 000 strong Woolwich government arsenal workforce in Woolwich England walked out in protest against the dismissal of an engineer who refused to install machinery on a foundation built by non union workers. The action, noted July 6, disrupts the gun and ammunition supply for the British army.
In Washington D C President Wilson disclaims any responsibility for statements about Albania attributed to George Fred Williams the American minister to Greece and Montenegro The president refused to discuss Williams but it is understood the matter is not resolved yet
In North Providence Rhode Island on July 6 a spectator was struck by a stray bullet during a Marleville battle between 12 policemen armed with revolvers and sewer workers who barricaded a house. Gennaro Desiderado will recover. Police stormed the house and arrested Samtino Beretta and his son William. Peter Beretta, wanted for dynamiting, was said to have been caught in the act but rescued by the Berettas. he was released recently after prison for holding up the Jenks mill master in Pawtucket four years ago.

Rochester July 4 George O. Greeley a 51 year old hardware firm member of Campbell and Griveley was seriously injured when a cannon he was loading with powder discharged prematurely He was blown several feet and temporarily blinded requiring hospital care and transport to Burlington His daughter accompanied him and there was some hope of saving sight in one eye.
William Bushey a 44 year old painter drank Paris Green Friday night and died at Mary Fletcher hospital after being found at 8 pm. He lived at 16 Howard Street with a small family. the act appeared not premeditated though he had been despondent recently and left a infant on the day of the tragedy.
West Danville July 6 Burt Osgood a farmer was seriously injured when frightened horses pulled a lumber wagon, a motorcycle pair spooked them. Mrs Darrell Howard of St Johnsbury Center pursued and slowed the team grabbing bridles until help arrived. Riders Wardell Squires and Dean Simpson did not know of the accident until shoe's pond. no blame assigned as Osgood is deaf.

Randolph July 6 A young man Thomas Spooner about 23 tried to board a moving coal car at the Church Street crossing of the Central Vermont railroad. He was thrown under the car then into a ditch and his leg was badly injured Doctors amputated above the knee at Randolph in surgery. He is listed in fair condition at the sanitarium. Spooner was a close companion of Guy Ripley who recently died on the same line while riding a freight train.
A narrow escape occurred when Dagerviin failed to strike a neighbor, a shot by Superneau missed by inches, injuring Polworth slightly. Polworth was taken to Fanny Allen hospital with no serious injuries reported and no blood poisoning or lockjaw observed.
