Born September 10, 1820 in Hethel, she lived in Bethel since childhood and married Rodney Shedd at age 20. Their son Edgar Rodney Bredd was born in Randolph, later the family settled in Bethel. Shedd, a tallorress by trade, suffered failing sight from cataracts but briefly regained some vision. She was a long time Universalist member and beloved by many. The funeral was Tuesday at 9 o clock, Rev H A Parkburnt officiating, burial in Cherry Hill Cemetery. She is survived by her widowhood, Mrs Addin Shed, and distant relatives.
