Paris Dec 20 President Wilson spent the day conferring with Italian statesmen including Premier Orlando and Foreign Minister Sonnino. He expressed warmest sympathy with Italy's aspirations but did not commit to specifics as to what Italy should receive at the peace conference. A reception at the Murat residence for ambassadors and ministers accredited to France followed.
London newspapers praise President Wilson's planned England visit and the nation's eagerness to show gratitude and support. Nashua New Hampshire December 20 Investigation into the shooting of Mrs Ora Lord today indicates she was killed around noon Wednesday. Police search for her husband Wilfred Lord after neighbors saw the couple on their veranda then enter their apartment. No one has found the woman alive. Lord is believed to have bought a Boston ticket at Nashua City Station just before the 1 1 train departure.
Washington reports cotton ginning up to December 13 shows 10,262,402 runnings bales with 130,074 round bales, 12,793 bales of American Egyptian, and 31,060 bales of Som Island. This exceeds last year’s total of 10,191,504 runnings, which included 170,000 round bales and 83,288 bales of Som Island.
A telegram from Lausanne cites a Polish bureau report stating Ukrainian soldiers killed Geneva, Dee, 20, and notes a Preneh commission mission to collect evidence amid the Ukraine Poland hostilities. The telegram names Lieutenant Coronel serigahdats and other officials as involved in the conflict inquiry.

Five people died when a touring car skidded off a meadow boulevard drawbridge between Atlantic City and Pleasantville in dense frost. Victims include Herman Startzenbach, cafe proprietor, his wife Christina, Daniel McCarthy, Caspar Baldee of Amatol, Maryland, and an unidentified woman. The car fell about 40 feet into the water, trapping occupants for a half hour before they were removed.
Bridget Teahan aged 75 died yesterday afternoon at her nephew Janus Hayes home in the Miles building after months of illness and a heart condition. Born in Ireland February 14, 1843 she came to the United States at age nine and lived in Ronses Point New Hampshire. She worked in hotel service in Bermuda Cuba Florida and Yellowstone Park before settling in Barre to reside with nephews Bealdes and others. She leaves sister Mrs Julia Hayes of Barre and three nieces. Funeral at St Monica's Saturday at 9 AM with interment in Northfield.
