Tan Milner a Granite Warehouse worker moved to Zebulon and is jailed in Pike county awaiting October superior court. Dan Clifton is accused by Dr L B Clifton of Macon of stealing Dr Clif ton’s money after cleaning a hall box. Dan confessed to the larceny and is bound over to the superior court for trial.

Twenty years ago the Barnesville Blues show a pamphlet of the 1876 constitution and by laws adopted by the company. Capt Murphey led as captain with Lt Hunt and lieutenants Banks and Goodwyn. The 1894 organization date and later roll call are noted with several members now deceased or moved away.

Bound Over to Court for Assault with Intent to Murder
Bud Jenkins was bound over to the Superior Court on the charge of assault with intent to murder after a preliminary hearing before Judge R. L. Meritt. His bond was set at 350 dollars, which he could not pay, and he was sent to Zebulon to await the next term. He allegedly assaulted a negro woman with a knife Saturday night and was subdued by Deputy Marshel Carswell with a club. He is described as a desperate character and faces severe legal action.
