A funeral notice recalls Mrs Sallie A Hagan born April 15 1849 married to M R Hagan September 26 1867 died November 8 1895. Neighbors describe her as loving generous and devout. She leaves a husband and three children and the writer prays for comfort and eternal reunion.
Mr W W Wilkinson, a day operator at the Central, spent Sunday with relatives in Newnan.
The marriage of T Scott Grigg of Washington DC and Miss Eula Warde of Milner is announced for Thursday afternoon December 26 at 5 o clock. Grigg is remembered in Barnesville from a months stay last year and Warde is popular locally with many friends offering congratulations. Mr Head of Merriwether County is visiting his brother Dr S S J Head in the city.

George Swift Hamburger formerly of Barnesville and Rebecca Epping Flournoy of Columbus were married in Columbus yesterday. An elegant reception for the bridal party followed from 8 to 12 at the bride’s parents home, with many Barnesville friends invited. The couple are described as prominent young society people with wide esteem.
There is no Thanksgiving service at the churches today due to store closures by merchants. Sunday morning a Methodist church service will include all denominations with an appropriate program and a large crowd is expected to express gratitude for the year’s blessings.
In the award of premiums by the Jury of Awards the Barnesville Manufacturing Company and the Barnesville Underwear Mill received honorable mention. The commendation marks them as two of Georgia’s best enterprises.

Misses Annie and Julia Harris returned from La Fayette Alabama and Atlanta after social attention and a expo visit. Mr. T L Cauthen of Sam Texas, previously Barnesville postmaster, returned after fifteen years to a warm welcome. Mr. B A Denmark of Savannah visited his son Cadet Thomas Denmark. A party including Mrs Battle and others traveled to Atlanta for the exposition. Telephone exchange arrangements were made to operate from Mrs Smiley’s Millinery room. Robert Mitchell spent time in Atlanta buying stock for his livery business.
