Miss McMichael showcases the latest styles in lingerie and fabrics. The sale lists ladies undervests from 5 to 25 cents, hose up to 12 cents, slippers from 65 cents to 1.75, paper pins, spool cotton, colored lawns, organdies, dotted Swiss, Corsets and handkerchiefs with various prices.
H. Lb. Mills reports second and third QC purchases arriving this season. Despite a backward spring, trade has been satisfactory. The retailer says they will buy often to keep pace with changing styles and expect a heavy May and June trade.
Our third purchase of Millinery, Laces and Ribbons is now in stock. We have kept an eye on the changes in this line and can show all the latest styles shapes and shades.
By Friday this week a special shipment of novelties in warm weather arrives. Dress goods include piques welts organdies lawns dimities and more. A new line of hosiery gloves holkfs and belts also featured.
A local ad touts a wide stock of umbrellas for men women and children in black and colors. The seller claims unmatched price and style, urging quick purchase as sun-shades season arrives.

Friday last Dr. G Pope Huguley received appointment as surgeon for the Central of Georgia Railway at Barnesville. Endorsements from private citizens and eminent physicians accompanied his application. A Barnesville native, Huguley began practice there after graduation and is praised as a skilled, capable physician whose appointment should satisfy railroad authorities.
Miss Carrie Cook of Barnesville was appointed maid of honor to the Georgia Sponsor representing the Sixth Congressional district at the Confederate Veterans Reunion in Charleston South Carolina this week. She will not attend but the honor is widely appreciated and would have seen her represent the district.
Dr. Nelken, whose card appears in this issue, is here to confer with all who may need his services as a specialist in the treatment of all diseases of the eye. He has headquarters at Dr. Wrights drug store.

The new firm has 20000 dollars paid up capital and 500 dozen underwear daily capacity with 5000 dollars for boiler engine and machinery. Officers to be elected with management largely unchanged. Key participants include Dr J L Fogg J L Kennedy J W Hanson G E Huguley C L Crawley and J W Stafford Sons.
Miss Annie Smith of Barnesville and Mr. Will K. Couch of Talbotton were married Monday afternoon May 8 at 5 at the home of Mr. T. H. McDowell in Belleview Talbot County Ga. The ceremony surprised family and friends. The bride is daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Smith, a teacher in Talbot County. The groom is an energetic farmer esteemed by locals.
Delightfully entertained last Thursday night at the home of Mrs E C Elder on Thomaston street. After several pieces of music by the orchestra refreshments were served and all enjoyed themselves. Manager Hunt says Hunts Orchestra is open for future engagements.
