H. Lb. Mills reports second and third QC purchases arriving this season. Despite a backward spring, trade has been satisfactory. The retailer says they will buy often to keep pace with changing styles and expect a heavy May and June trade.

Dr. G. Pope Huguley Named Surgeon for Central of Georgia

Friday last Dr. G Pope Huguley received appointment as surgeon for the Central of Georgia Railway at Barnesville. Endorsements from private citizens and eminent physicians accompanied his application. A Barnesville native, Huguley began practice there after graduation and is praised as a skilled, capable physician whose appointment should satisfy railroad authorities.

Maid of Honor named for Confederate Veterans Reunion

Miss Carrie Cook of Barnesville was appointed maid of honor to the Georgia Sponsor representing the Sixth Congressional district at the Confederate Veterans Reunion in Charleston South Carolina this week. She will not attend but the honor is widely appreciated and would have seen her represent the district.

Delightfully entertained last Thursday night at the home of Mrs E C Elder on Thomaston street. After several pieces of music by the orchestra refreshments were served and all enjoyed themselves. Manager Hunt says Hunts Orchestra is open for future engagements.
