Mrs. R. G. Matthews of Barnesville died Friday morning after a quiet illness. She guided a model home raising children and supporting her husband. A consecrated Christian, she often publicly confessed her faith. The funeral was at the Methodist church with Rev. W. S. Stevens officiating and interment at Greenwood cemetery. Sympathies extend to her husband and relatives.
The Summers Buggy Company plans a brick addition measuring 35 by 65 feet to its factory. Mr. A. O. Bennett holds the contract and will push the project quickly. The expansion boosts capacity from 1000 to 1500 buggies annually and houses new wood working machinery already purchased.

Mrs J L Gardner died Sunday at 10 30 am after eleven months of dropsy suffering. A devout Christian and loving wife and mother she is survived by her husband and three children. Remains interred at Shiloh church Monroe county yesterday.
Sunday night Barnesville mourns the loss of Mrs. D. C. Hightower after a long illness. A devout Methodist, she was remembered as a kind wife mother and friend. Funeral held Tuesday at the Methodist church with Rev. W. S. Stevens and Dr. J. M. Brittain officiating. Interment in Greenwood cemetery. Survived by several children and relatives. community expresses sympathy.
Mrs Maria E Dennington wife of Prof J W Dennington died at their home Saturday night after a long illness. She and her husband spent their lives in school teaching and her kindness touched many children who studied under her. Her death drew sorrow from the community and the hundreds of pupils who felt blessed by her guidance.
