Legisature adjourns to July amid liquor bill fights
The Legislature adjourned to July next after a session where Thursday and Friday saw the House debate the general liquor bill. Test votes showed the temperance side ahead two to one. A motion to seat Mr. Thos J Williamson on the floor was rejected, a snub Pike county will remember. Outside the appropriation bills only locals passed, written before the holidays but crowded out.
