Freshman Reception at YWCA Opens New College Year
Freshmen were escorted to the YWCA reception at Earl Hall by a snare of the Association. Mrs. Merritt and Mary Per ’10 greeted the newcomers as they arrived. The class of 1911 arrived in noisy crowds, ready for a busy year of plays, dances, teas, and academic work. The Silver Bay Conference is described, with six hundred girls imagining the scenery, hills, lake, and activities. Anil getting acquainted among the new residents is noted as a pleasant prospect.
