Student Fellowship Drive Furthers International Goodwill at Barnard

The Student Fellowship Drive at Barnard seeks support for a scholarship fund to fund study abroad. Miss Gunver Stenberg of Finland is the first foreign fellowship recipient and Dr Jane Dewey Clark the first Barnard alumna sent abroad. The drive aims to broaden education beyond undergraduate work and strengthens cross national goodwill. The effort drew strong faculty alumnae and student support last year and is set for another vigorous campaign as fruits of prior work emerge.

Harold Bauer offers a Brahms Schumann program at Aeolian Hall Monday October 26 at 8 30. Steinway Hall opens Tuesday October 2 with Mengelberg and players in a cantata by the conductor and solos by Fraser Gange. Chamber Music Society of San Francisco brings its New York program to Aeolian Hall Thursday October 29 featuring Foote nocturne scherzo and Mozart Javel quartets.
