The November Bear Debuts as Monthly Literary Supplement
The November issue of the Barnard Bear appears as a new monthly literary supplement to the Bulletin. It includes Dr Braun’s Letters of Goethe’s Mother and essays by Miss Fox on George Meredith, Miss Hart’s short story Q. E. D., Miss Gay’s Arthurian drama Elaine, and Miss Spear’s Barnard in Summer. The editorial attacks Barnard’s old vanity and defends intellectual pursuits.
