Senior Minstrel Show Impresses Barnard Freshmen Audience
The Barnard seniors staged a minstrel show featuring twenty performers described as the blackest, queerest looking troupe yet, with mandolins and guitars. A white dressed chorus spelling B A R N A R D accompanied songs, a class song by a passing performer, and several sketches drew strong audience praise. The program included a christening story, dating names of several participants, and a closing number about old stories.
