Moratorium movement grows on Columbia campus
Feb 16 decision ends graduate deferments triggering a Moratorium Coalition at Columbia. Students from Pamphphatria and other groups plan March 13 Moratorium Day to suspend classes and hear draft alternatives while others consider leaving the country or jail. Ivy League peers join in a statement opposing the Vietnam War and draft. Women are urged to support the Moratorium and sign petitions.
