Spanish Paintings Exhibited In Brooks
An exhibit in Room 145 Hewit Hall showcases sketches watercolors and etchings by Spanish artists Agnaco Ortega and A Cugat. Ortega’s works highlight cool shadows and sunlit warmth with notable blue and green tones including a Sevilla scene. Ortega’s Palma de Mallorca scene contrasts dark streets with a sunlit courtyard. Cugat’s etchings and watercolors appear capable but less distinctive, with a bullfight work shown in large watercolor form.
