Barnard Camp Offers Budget Friendly Weekend Getaways

Barnard College long provides an economical retreat for its students with a camp near Ossining New York six miles northeast of Ossining accessible from Grand Central Station. The facility includes a large living room a fireplace two bunk rooms a kitchen and counselor room with a maintenance deposit of over two dollars. Groups of at least ten with a faculty or alumna chaperone may book weekends for about five dollars for day students and three dollars for dorm students with meals funded through dorm allowances.

Barnard Girls Take On Diverse Part Time Jobs

More than three hundred Barnard students work part time to cover tuition and living costs. Roles include salesgirls waitresses clerical workers librarians and testers among others.
