Dramatic Work of the People's Institute
The People's Institute distributes cheap theater tickets in New York and Brooklyn to broaden access to the arts. Since October over 15 000 people have used the program, now extending to churches stores and organized labor. The effort reveals strong demand for Shakespeare and modern drama with top figures like Mantell and Damrosch connected to the initiative.
