Scorpio Rising Lacks Sting in Aging Underground Review
The review laments Scorpio Rising as a once bold Underground work now dulled by repetition and moralizing ending. It notes Anger’s montage zeal with Nazi and motorcycle club imagery, the overused silent-film juxtapositions, and a shift toward liberal moralism that undermines its original edge.

Tenants Organize to Tackle West Side Housing Woes
The West Side Block Associations, formed by tenants and students between 104 and 108 Streets, Broadway and Central Park West, organize to force repairs. An organizer helps tenants form a council, obtain inspections, and use rent strikes and city forms to compel landlords to fix substandard conditions in a largely Spanish and Black neighborhood. The group also links with city housing projects and metropolitan councils to advocate for more public housing and tenant control in urban renewal. Contact information for Anne Jaffe or Anne Gyorgy is provided.
