Sit-Ins at Berkeley Spark Campus Chaos and Arrests
About 800 students were arrested last Thursday during a sit-in in the Berkeley Administration Building. The protest followed a sudden campus ban on on campus membership and fund solicitation for off campus groups, tied to events around the Republican Convention. The Free Speech Movement, a coalition of campus groups, formed in response.
