The Collector review and related literary notices

A review of John Fowles The Collector notes its disturbing plot of Frederick Clegg imprisoning Miranda Grey, with Part Two told as a prison diary. The piece praises mood over the diary section and hints the author’s next work could have centered Miranda as a second novel’s focus. Additional notices critique Marxist criticism in A Bourgeois Writer's Proletarian Fables and comment on Winnie and the Cultural Stream. Frederick C Crews defends current literary material.
