Niebuhr At Interfaith Luncheon Calls For Positive Testimony
Union Theological Seminary professor Reinhold Niebuhr warned that interfaith work risks secularism unless participants bear testimony to their individual facts and aim for genuine exchange of spiritual values. He said sharp individual faiths may bring humility and truth, beyond mere tolerance, and urged meaningful discussion rather than social gathering. Next week Solomon A. Feinberg will discuss practical faith efforts to combat intolerance at the Earl Hall Society open house.
