Barnard announces several promotions including W A Braun to Professor of German Languages and Literatures and D C Moley to Professor of Public Law. New assistant professors include Eleanor Keller, Norman W. Haring, Agnes R. Wayman, Georgina S. Gates, and Gladys A. Reichard. Douglas Moore named Associate Professor of Music on the Joline Foundation, establishing a Barnard Department of Music with a $100,000 chair endowment and a $10,000 scholarship and instrument fund from Mary E. Larkin Joline. Moore, Yale graduate and former Columbia music instructor, will collaborate with Columbia University Music. Hoxie N. Fairchild named assistant professor of English, a Columbia 1917 graduate and veteran, who has been teaching at Barnard College and University Extension.
