Hold Chamber Music Concert at Assembly
The April 14 assembly featured an hour of chamber music with Herbert Dittler violinist Harwood Simmons clarinetist and Leslie Lickford pianist. Prof Moore introduced the players and the program included the Franck violin piano sonata and the Pastorale from the Trio op. 8 for violin clarinet and piano by Daniel Gregory Mason. Dittler is a Columbia associate in music and coaches chamber music and strings of the Columbia orchestra. Simmons also associates and conducts the band and coaches winds. Lickford, a Cambridge University England student and Trinity Hall organ scholar, spends two years in America on a Commonwealth Fellowship after Yale and now at Columbia.
