Cross Currents Bookstore on Broadway near 122nd Street acts as an oasis and headquarters for the quarterly Cross Currents. Founded in 1950 to offer translations of philosophical and theological articles, it features discounted books and art prints from France. The store hosts discussions with a cosmopolitan crowd and plans to expand its record collection. Membership costs 3 dollars annually with borrow rates, while casual borrowing is priced by item.
