Thousands Honor Sauk County Veterans on Parade
On Honor Day Baraboo and Sauk County held a large parade and ceremonies for returned soldiers. Thousands arrived by car with flags, bands played, and 800 veterans were badgeed at the courthouse. A memorial service at the Ringling theatre honored the fallen with dignified speeches and a display of flags.

Durward Estate Closure In Baraboo Heirship Proceeding
W J Durward arrives from Olympia to close the estate of his late brother Rev Fr J T Durward who died in Baraboo a year ago. Sister Miss Mary Thecla Durward is ill and in Milwaukee. The Glen property of 40 acres in Caledonia goes to Rev Fr James Durward. 80 adjoining acres offered for sale. The 120 acres was left to the Catholic church but may be kept as is. Some paintings may go to Washington institution. others to family. The deceased library will be stored at the Sixth street residence if not sold. W J Durward, a photographer and author, is briefly unwell after travel and expects to return after estate closing, which may take weeks.

Landis Reads Illinois Law to Brewers
Federal Judge Landis questioned Milwaukee brewers about smuggling beer into Illinois. Illinois chemists testified Wisconsin beer seized at Zion City tested 2.69 to 3.34 percent alcohol by volume. The judge cited the Illinois seizure law and noted no warrant is needed for seizure. A hearing over 15 motor trucks and one touring car loaded with beer is set with a decision pending.

Apker Schroeder Tie the Knot in Local Presbyterian Ceremony
Esther Lucille Schroeder and Bruce Apker married this morning at 10 at the Presbyterian church manse with Rev. E. C. Henke officiating. The bride wore a blue serge gown and the couple will honeymoon in Madison and Milwaukee before settling on a farm near town. Mr Apker is a former member of the 85th division Co B 330th battalion MG.

Seven Girls in Accident at Klug Albercht Wedding
During the Klug Albercht wedding procession in Portage the bridal party riding in the C. J. Klug car, driven by Mrs. Walter Kerr, crashed after hitting a curb and a tree.
