John Murray of Chicago, a veteran counterfeiter who has spent forty five of his seventy two years in prison, was captured by Capt. Thomas L. Peter of the Chicago secret service and sent back to Leavenworth on Sunday. Murray said, Reckon I'm going back for the last time, the outside doesn't look good to me.

Reedsburg Man In Jail Here For 30 Days
Allen Sainsbury of Reedsburg was jailed for 30 days in Sauk County after a Main Street altercation. Witnesses say he appeared intoxicated and fled from Marshal Stowe, later found near a barn. He pleaded before Judge Claridge and was fined 50 dollars plus about 20 dollars costs. nonpayment sent him to Baraboo county jail for thirty days.

Baraboo Man Struck by Car Driven by Prairie du Lac Youths
H K Page of Baraboo was run down beside his car by a seven passenger touring car driven by Frank C Curtis of Sauk City and occupied by Forest Tabor H G Monson and Guy Waffenschmidt all of Prairie du Lac. Two girls staying at Devils Lake were also in the party. The collision occurred after the Sauk City car crashed into Page's vehicle and fled toward Devi Barabaga. Page suffered severe bruises and lacerations but no internal injuries. The youths were later captured by Motorcycle Policeman Er C Accola and held until five this morning. Page narrowly escaped death. witnesses condemned the reckless act. The rental car belonged to Mr Bloom of the Sauk City area. William Meymer of Chicago visited Baraboo for Labor Day with A T Johnson’s family. Meymer works for the Railway Freight Association.

Jury member misses ride as thief steals car
Neal Lampley of West Frankfort Illinois sat in a jury room and watched his Ford disappear from the parking area. The thief fled but was captured that night. The youth had earlier ridden with Lampley and apparently grew fond of the car’s engine note.

Moonshine Raids Near Sauk City Result in Bail
Federal officers raided Reedsburg area and charged locally known moonshine operators Vern Matthews of La Valle and Joseph Rycek's family. Matthews faces five gallons and a second offense with $1000 bail to appear September 11 in Sauk County circuit court. Rycek premises yielded liquor and mash. son Anton bound over to circuit court with $500 bail and jailed after failure to raise it.
