Frank Golden an about 17 year old was seized with the clothes he allegedly stole while working on the Lyle farm in Lowville. Sheriff Schultz brought him before Justice Kiefer, Horn identified the garment, and Golden pleaded guilty to the circuit court. Judge Kellogg stayed sentence awaiting the parole officer. Boy May Lose Sight Of Eye In Charivari Acid Attack
Fourteen year old Howard Jones may lose sight of one eye after carbolic acid was sprayed during a charivari in front of the Smith home on Seventh Avenue near 9:30 p.m. The boy’s face bears burns and scar tissue is suspected. Other youths involved include Norris Clement Lester Kent Morris Kent and Jerry Oesterich. Mrs Victoria Jones has pressed charges and an arrest is expected as witnesses can identify the attacker.

On Monday Rev. C. E. Weed and family aided the North Freedom church centenary drive when their car left the road south of the village and rolled over a bank. No serious injuries, but top windshield and fenders were damaged. Rev. Philpott bruised. another auto nearby had an axle break. Dr. R. A. Barnes and George Douglas abandoned the car and sought Baraboo for help.
