Mr and Mrs E E Nichols of Woodland traveled to Baraboo on Saturday reporting Levi Walker of Barron lost part of his hand in a sawing machine. The saw cut into his arm as he stood with his hand on the blade when the machine started. Walker, a former neighbor of Nichols, was noted as a county board of supervisors member re elected in Baraboo.

Will Mott the local hardware dealer returned from a Winchester clubs convention in New Haven Conn where Presidents and Secretaries toured the plant. The event showcased Winchester inspection rigor and factory scale with an 81 acre main plant, 3,250,000 square feet and 12,000 employees. The Out Door Club of Reedburg held its annual meeting at City Hall on Monday. Officers chosen were President W. A. Stoke Secretary N. T. Gill and Treasurer Dr. F. P. Daly. The club with 100 members intends to form a baseball team this year and has supported outdoor sports by stocking ponds with fish and removing carp from the Baraboo river.

Italian Girl Is Killed By Train Near Devils Lake
Marie Sasso four year old daughter of Mr and Mrs John Sasso of Devils Lake was struck by a Baraboo to Devils Lake train at 11 23 noon and instantly killed. She ran to cross the track when the locomotive hit her. Her skull was crushed and she was thrown several feet. She is survived by her parents two sisters and a brother.

A fine pale moon eclipse lit Baraboo and surrounding areas on Sunday night. Miss Luna, playfully dimmed by the earth's shadow, showed a slender crescent as the sky stayed clear. Baraboo residents enjoyed the celestial display, aided by Charles Randall and others who alerted the Newsman.

Two Richland Center youths Glen Rader and Darrel Hoke confessed after a incident that included stealing from a garage in Lone Rock and injuring a curb in a car. They entered a local store the same night stealing cigarettes and candy and are bonded for June trial.
