Fred D. Owens son of Mr and Mrs Nate Owens has returned from the battlefields of France. He served with the 803rd Pioneer Infantry which landed at Glas gow Scotland and Liverpool England before fighting in Meuse Argonne. The unit saw heavy action and built ammunition dumps while in France.
