Five Baraboo cattle die from poison at Dickie farm
Dr. Wareham of Baraboo Dr. Steuber of Prairie du Lac and Dr. Clausen of Madison examined a Baraboo area farm west of town where five cattle died after grazing on poison. The Chicago Northwestern railway sprayed near the right of way and some liquid reportedly reached cattle. A postmortem was held to determine the cause and the railroad company was pressed for action.

Wife at Adams shoots husband then kills herself
In Adams on Sunday morning Mrs. George Wyse shot her husband after a late dancing party quarrel and then killed herself. A large iron kettle exploded at the Reedsburg canning factory Friday morning, scattering about 1000 cans of partly cooked peas. Several workers were nearby but only one man suffered minor steam burns. A defective steam gauge is blamed for the accident.
