The Allan-Diffenbaugh Wrench & Tool company relocates to Baraboo. Inventor A. C. Allan, Chicago resident and brother of L. N. Allan of Baraboo, will oversee production. Machines arriving, planned output about 10,000 wrenches weekly once setup. samples on display at Corner Drug Store.
The body of 17 year old Philip Wilson of Kilbourn was found Friday afternoon in the Kilbourn Dells Narows area. He fell from a launch last Sunday and disappeared in a river with a depth of about 105 feet. Strong current or rocks likely prevented resurfacing. Funeral services have been held.
The Baraboo board of review set a valuation of 125000 on the Island Woolen mill in Baraboo. The mill, idle and with recent additions, was raised from 75000 to 125000 as a fair assessment with personal property to be valued later. E P McFetridge represented the owners along with city assessors C H Stone Hof statter and Holah.
Dr James Edwards told the American Osteopathic Association convention in Chicago that a two step finger surgery approach to the orbital cavity could reduce eyeglass use. The two stage massage must begin early in life for best results, the osteopaths say.

Henry Decorah a Winnebago Indian was arrested at Manston by Sheriff Schultz on charges of killing his cousin Bill Decorah at a Decorah camp near Anacker Station fourteen years ago. The case arose after investigators traced leads with District Attorney Sanderson and Portage Chief Curry. Bail set at 5000 dollars. Bill Decorah died from head wounds after the assault and subsequent return home.
Tuesday evening District Attorney H R Bohn and others returning from the Navotney inquest saw an auto flipped on the West Sank hill. occupants Doc Barnett and Fred Klett of La Valle escaped with only a facial scratch while a tire blowout contributed to the somersault.
Wisconsin reports a surge in auto buying with about 50 000 new cars sold by mid year. Secretary Hull cites this as a fifty to sixty million dollar activity and notes 255 600 licenses issued so far, with six months to push totals past 300 000.

Final settlement filed in E F Dithmar's office discloses the August Behnke estate totaling 13548.61 dollars. After expenses the will distributes 500 dollars to the Wisconsin Conference of the Evangelical association and 800 dollars to WHLMSONS. Executors Rev C E Maves receives 500 dollars and two brothers receive 3135.39 each. Four nieces and nephews receive 783.85 each.
The Bad River Chippewas of Wisconsin census lists 1031 people, up by one from last year. Ashland office records show 609 Indians on the reservation in 1892 and 714 in 1900, with Commissioner Cato Sells arguing the Indian race is not decaying as a result.

Fred Nedler of Reedsburg faced assault and battery charges after an Ableman Baraboo game incident. He waived examination before Justice Adolph Andre, was bound over to the circuit court on a $2000 bond, and was released from jail pending trial after weeks of county confinement.
The H. H. Howlett place near Pansy Heights was sold by the late owner’s daughter, Mrs. A. W. Davidson of Washington DC, to August Platt who now possesses it. The 80 acre farm on trunk line 12, valued at about $10,000 per Sauk County directory, includes land washed from a terminal moraine. Davidson, who had been residing there, went to Rochester for an operation.
Arthur Co. Wittman, a former Portage high school instructor, has sailed for the Philippine Islands.
Karl Fisher of Baraboo and Clara Rathbun of Evanston surprised friends by marrying at Christ Church Waukegan. The groom, nephew of Lord’s department store founder A H Ullrich, started at the bottom as a clerk before marriage. They return to work the next day for their first mission.
Joseph Navotney of Prairie du Lac area committed suicide by leaping into an 80 foot well Tuesday morning. Neighbors and relatives formed a search party. his body was recovered hours later by rope. He left a wife and two children and was about 40. Authorities say a troubled mind appears to be the cause.
The Sauk county Y W C A Girl Reserves opened their ten days outing at Kashawaga camp today. Thirty girls from Spring Green Glenville Sumpter Prairie du Lac Reedsburg Baraboo Stoughton and nearby towns attend. Camp counselors named Leila Johnson Palma Grahn Lily Andrews and Lela R Getman.
The Wisconsin branch of the committee of 43 conducts a statewide referendum on the governorship fight. Mail ballots close August 3. Milwaukee state headquarters issue an appeal to all progressives to join and vote.
Esther Schillinger, wife of John Schillinger of Madison, sentenced to three years in the Waupun state prison for perjury in a Madison superior court divorce case. She had pleaded guilty to perjury last Friday and adultery earlier in the proceedings. District Attorney Heilman urged punishment but said she was not criminal by instinct.
The Farmers' Co operative Packing Co of Madison has not dissolved after Oscar Mayer & Co bought the plant. Attorney General says two thirds vote required for dissolution not met. 761 of 5223 members approved a dissolution resolution.
Richard Radatz of Natural Bridge Farm near Leland captured a tiny fawn in tall grass close to his front door. No doe signs were found. The fawn feeds on milk and appears healthy. The game warden was notified.
Joseph Johnson, longtime Milwaukee police ambulance driver since 1886, was seriously injured when his vehicle was squeezed between the ambulance and a hospital wall. He suffered a fractured collar bone but doctors expect recovery despite his age.
