State Guard to Camp for Four Weeks Starting July 27
Wisconsin's State Guard will go into camp at Camp Douglas for four weeks beginning July 27. Col. Harry M. Seaman of Milwaukee says the new style rifle will replace the 1913 Springfield and is the best army rifle in the world. Fatal Baraboo Prairie du Sac Road crash claims life
A Ford car left the Baraboo Prairie du Sac road Saturday afternoon near Kings Corners. A. L. Curtis of Los Angeles died, while Mrs. W. H. Beaty of Chicago and Alma Gunderson of Lodi were injured. The others were not hurt. The vehicle rolled over after leaving the road, and drivers and rescuers acted quickly. The dead man had served in the Navy and was taken to Blackburn Scheible & Dyrud funeral rooms. The accident remains under inquiry with relatives sought in the west.
