By order of the railroad administration hundreds of thousands of pounds of high explosive material including tinctures of T N T and picric acid, owned by French and Italian governments, will be towed out to sea from South Amboy and dumped 35 miles from Scotland Neck lightship. The plan aims to remove 228 carloads of material no longer usable except for shell manufacture.
