Pioneer Catherine Crandall Train Dies in Baraboo
Mrs. Catherine Crandall Train died Friday night at 727 Eighth Street after a brief illness from double pneumonia. A Baraboo lifelong resident born August 1842 in Mississippi, she taught kindergarten, led local clubs, and served as vice president of the Sauk County Historical Society. Funeral services were held Sunday at her home with local ministers officiating.

Richard Ringling has bought J. M. Kelly Holstein herd from the Kelly farm near the city. The cattle were moved to Ringling’s White Sulphur Springs Montana ranch after a Vermont phase. Dr. Paul Mueller aided the transfer. Estimated total around 140000 dollars. one animal once valued at 30000 dollars is no longer high. Ringling is son of Alf Ringling, wintering in California. his father died two years ago in New Jersey.
