Byron Randall, a respected Reedsburg resident, died suddenly at his East Main street home on Monday morning after liver trouble. He was past sixty, survived by his wife, a daughter Mrs. William Townsend of Reedsburg, and two grandchildren Donald Townsend and Mrs. Maurice Deppe. A former city council member, he left many friends.

Thieves Hide in Waukesha High School During Thanksgiving
Clark Dwinnell and a companion who escaped the state school at Waukesha were found in the high school building on Thanksgiving evening and sent to the county jail. They had rummaged the Superintendent Kingsford office and girls lockers and opened boys lockers taking seven sweaters a suitcase and other items. The domestic science room was looted with shelves emptied and eggs cooked for a makeshift Thanksgiving feast. Footfalls in the shadows closed the episode as authorities recovered the youths.
