Fathers and mothers wept as the procession along courthouse square passed Melzl & McGann with an immense flag. Auto theft and crash injure fare in Kilbourn trip
A six cylinder Buick owned by E F Lueth was stolen at Kilbourn during the late hours, backed into a telephone pole, and rammed the city fountain causing damage. Five occupants remained in the car and seven had traveled to Kilbourn with Al Page. two others are unaccounted for. The car remained drivable after the wreck.

Narrow escape in watery race car slips off wall
On Wednesday a Dodge car failed on Potter street near the race and backed down a hill, its rear wheels over a stone wall. Five occupants including women and children scrambled to safety as the car hung over the edge. A. S. Launch freed the vehicle after four hours with little damage.
