Angler Tames 34-Pound Muskellunge Lifesaving Boat Ride
Four farmers from Pine River and one from Illinois battled a 34 pound muskellunge near Merrill. Charles Nienow hooked the fish as A J Renken jumped in to club the creature's head. John Ehman helped haul the muskellunge from the water while Nienow hammered it with a rock. The fish measured 51 inches long and 22 inches around.

Burglars Loot Madison Home During Circus
Burglars broke into the Jd. Jenkins residence at 2115 East Dayton Street Madison and escaped with clothing and jewelry worth several hundred dollars. They conducted the theft under cover of circus activities and were not discovered. Drowned pair found after Devils Lake search
Miss Minnie Veiles and student Clarence M. Williams died in Devils Lake incidents. Veiles recovered Thursday from 25 foot depth after four days in cold water.
