Two Men Drowned in Baraboo River Tragedy

Two industrious villagers were drowned last Friday in the Baraboo river above the village while guiding timber for the Baraboo Seminity project. They attempted to haul pieces through the dam area when a mishap occurred, and both were lost before rescue could reach them. The bodies were recovered on Sunday morning and later that afternoon. The incident prompts calls for greater caution near swift currents and the reliance on expert swimmers for risky water work.
