Clara Martiny Haak died at North Freedom after a brief illness at about one o clock. She was about twenty five and the daughter of Mr and Mrs John Martiny of Baraboo. She is survived by her husband H Haak and one child. Funeral services were held at 10 30 Sunday at the M E church.
Mrs Laura Jane Williams age 60 died yesterday at her home 503 Ridge street from a complication of troubles. A brother B N Trumble of North Freedom is listed as a living near relative with two granddaughters of the late Mrs Ch Montange. Funeral is set for Friday at 10 oclock at the house.
Neighbors and friends who kindly assisted and extended sympathy at the time of Mrs. Laura J. Williams death are thanked. Signed by Charles Montanye Isabel Montanye and Mark Montanye.
Inter Se club delegates read papers on Kosciusko Thaddeus of Warsaw Na poles invasion of Russia and The Burning of Moscow, plus a Czar piece. Last evening at their Highth Street home Mr and Mrs Will Warren entertained sixty guests with a six o clock dinner. Barabeo sports figure known as a famous sprinter, called Cuckoo Collins, received a two year term at Janesville for passing bogus drafts. He spoke for hours in court recounting global exploits and claiming he was a scapegoat for others. He admitted a Denver theft sentence years earlier and described a fatal deathbed confession by a real criminal.
From Sioux Falls and Flint reports comes news that J T Lunn 63 a former county superintendent of schools in the area committed suicide in Flint Michigan by a handkerchief loop and lever device using a folded newspaper. Mrs Lunn sails for Ironton Wisconsin for burial as their three sons pursue college teaching and fire fighting careers.
In Reedburg, H C Hunt built a 96 by 32 foot, 12 foot high squab house on eighteen acres to breed Homer's pigeons for the squab market. Seven hundred pigeons from Boston are acclimating and nesting, with twelve pairs of squabs already present inside despite winter. Marshall runs the squad ranch, also handling a Columbia Wyandotte line, as Hunt plans to grow one of the nation’s largest poultry and squab ventures.

F McGuan and Wm Nichols new firemen. Conductors Lane Beaver and Fairbanks reinstated. Brakeman H. T. Jones off duty bruised foot. Brakeman P. J. Lyons went to Wilton. Five conductors slowed braking due to slack business. Engines 467 and 806 en route to Chicago for repairs. Fireman Otto Erickson back to work in the round house. said firing was hard. Fireman E Schmaldt assigned to west end turnaround with Engineer McDormit.
Raymond Kendall of Madison visited the city yesterday and works in the Northwest office. Robert Rutledge of the road master’s office spent yesterday in Elroy. A minor Madison wreck reported this morning involved an engine losing its pilot. Osman Patterson leads the supply car trips this week to various stations. Engineer E L Hunter resumes at Beloit after illness. Chas Zehapfening and Fred Kohlhapp are off duty at the shops. Henry Shields returns to work after a short vacation.
Fireman Fred Ockerhauser fell this morning and injured his ankle, rendering him unable for duty. Engineer J Franklin and Fireman Ockerhauser went to Milwaukee after engine 53 to work on the M D. A wrecker was sent to Footville yesterday due to a derailed caboose and one car of an extra southbound train. track cleared promptly and no traffic delay occurred.
Engineer James Flynn faced a windy day mishap as the roof blew off his locomotive cab while en route to Marshfield. The cab dropped away, some boards falling into Black River, but the trip to Marshfield and back proceeded and the engine was sent to Elroy for repairs.
