A new business will open in Baker in the former Fallon County Bank space. The Golden Rule Store will offer a full line of ladies and gents furnishings with a two floor setup, an elevator, and basement stock area. Baker Teams Defeated by Bowman Saturday

The Baker High School basketball teams lost to Bowman last Saturday at Bowman. The Baker boys fell 20 to 8 while the Baker girls were defeated 40 to 1. The boys host Plevna next Saturday and the Baker Legion 5S meets Plevna in the M. E. Hall at 8 o clock.

Washington closed 263400 and approved 781800, Oregon 164000 closed and 469100 approved, Idaho 164000 closed for 31 people and 784800 approved for 189. National Guard Encampment Set at Fort Harrison

Montana adjutant general announces annual National Guard encampment at Fort Harrison from June 14 to 28. About 1 015 enlisted men and 41 officers attend with Col. E H Williams commanding the Montana regiment. The three battalions include Whitehall Bainville Culbertson Glasgow Polson Wilsall Baker Lewistown Froid and Lewistown machine gun company. Units bring full equipment and will buy tents from merchants while conducting maneuvers drills and target practice.
