Bainbridge cotton mill plan gains local support in 1898

A Bainbridge citizen urges building a local cotton factory on the building and loan plan to boost population and cash trade. He argues home investment yields higher dividends, notes Griffin and Lathem Alexander endorse southern mills, and cites rising Southern mill growth, cheaper fuel, and the region's manufacturing potential as reasons Bainbridge should become an industrial center. The letter stresses keeping investment local and predicts cotton spindles will drive a regional revolution in commerce.
