Perry Ga October 29 Thomas G Woolfolk was hanged for the murder of nine family members. He maintained his innocence to the end, spoke with newspaper men, and appeared calm as the trap fell. Death resulted from strangulation after the noose slipped during the execution. He left a will for his sisters and had interactions with Dr E W Warren before the end.
A Brooklyn cigar shop quickly adjusts its display and pricing to the McKinley tariff. The owner rearranges price signs from eight to ten cent boxes, opens for business, and notes customers paying 15 cents and 5 cents for various cigars under the new law.

Congressman Kilgore recalls a wartime furlough in Louisiana where he offered a dollar for a smoking chicken. A short woman challenged him to a jumping contest, he placed the dollar on the table, and after leaping from the doorstep he turned to see her shut the door with a shotgun muzzle visible, ending the wager.
Decatur County ordinary cites all interested to show cause on first Monday in December 1890 why the commissioners report for a year’s support of Jessie Lasseter widow of T. W. Lasseter and her two minors should not be recorded. The October 29 notice directs appearance to contest the ruling.

Authorized to own mills roads warehouses cotton gin grist mill and real property with power to borrow issue bonds and incorporate for up to twenty years with renewal. Filed Oct 15 1890 Decatur County Georgia.

Also includes guardianship and administration discharge citations for J M Lewis and W B Crawford with dates and officials.
D. Cherry applies for permanent administration on the estate of D. P. Harris in Georgia Decatur County. Creditors and next of kin must appear at the office on the first Monday in December to show cause why administration should not be granted. Witness date October 14 1398. Also a runaway notice for a Kean Texas Pony with identifying marks and reward for return.
