A freight collision at 4 o'clock Friday morning on a trestle near Dimmick 15 miles east of Ozark killed engineer E O Adams and a brakeman and firemen. Gus Smith the west bound engineer was badly burned and may die. Cause cited as possible disregard of orders or defective brakes.
Under an eastern district court order, on Friday February 8 1901 at 11 a m a sale will be held at the Bainbridge storehouse formerly occupied by Tonge Dickinson. Receiver A W McTyre will sell dry goods clothing hats shoes groceries crockery and notions in lots or as a whole for cash with proceeds deposited to bankruptcy funds.

On the first Tuesday in March 1901 the De catur county Board of County Commissioners will meet in Bainbridge Georgia to receive and evaluate brick courthouse plans with stone finishings and modern sanitary arrangements. The project budget caps at 35000 dollars with rooms vaults and other details to be specified. The board may accept or reject any submission and will pay for accepted plans via the county.
