Mr Josephus Daniels describes George Vanderbilt’s Biltmore estate on the Swannanoa near Asheville. Vanderbilt owns four and a half miles of riverfront, plans vast roads and gardens, and has spent $403000 on the castle’s foundation and first story. In Decatur County Georgia the Ordinary's office notes the return of commissioners to set apart a year's support for Nancy A Ward widow and her minor child from deceased James H Ward's estate, with citations to appear first Monday in February to show cause. The adjourned term also records a recess to January 12 1891 and lists Petit Jurors to serve on the second Monday in January 1891.
