The People's Party in Decatur County calls district meetings by August 20 to nominate three delegates for a Bainbridge convention on August 27 at 11 am to elect four delegates for a Congressional convention in Albany on September 1 at 1 pm. On August 27 three delegates from each district in Miller Mitchell and Decatur will nominate a Senatorial candidate for the 5th District. A Bainbridge convention on September 3 will nominate two candidates for the Legislature and county officers for the January election. Ordered by the People's Party Executive Committee July 16 1892.
The Executive Committee directs the Chairman and Secretary to canvass the county with Col Sk B Mobley and others. Meetings are listed at Bell's District Aug 2 Attapulgus Aug 3 Fowlstown Aug 4 Faceville Aug 5 Recovery Aug 6. Each District will decide on a picnic or simple gathering with speaking starting at 11 o'clock.
