Climax man arrested for horse theft and forgery
A man named G W Beebe hired a horse and buggy from I A Allen at Climax to go a short distance but fled with the turnout. He sold the buggy near Cairo then rode west on a Coast Line train and has not been heard from. Sheriff Patterson says Beebe forged an order to obtain $8 in Climax before the theft.
