New Jersey Nephew Sits On President’s Stand At Grand Ceremony

Clellan of New Jersey, a nephew who pulled the flag release string, sat on the president's stand. The gathering included the diplomatic corps, army and navy, civic and military leaders with Secretaries and senators also on the stand. Brigadier General Henry Co. Dwight presided. Major General J Franklin Bell led the army in a three-division parade of infantry artillery and cavalry from the regular army, DC National Guard, and the Third regiment.
