Fire at Schaber Picture Moulding Plant Falls Silent

Five workers on the third floor of the John Schaber Picture moulding factory on Spring Street escaped death when a blaze partially destroyed the building. Damage is estimated at 60 000 dollars. The owner John Scheber collapsed during rescue efforts and, while being treated at home, fatally shot himself. He reportedly felt too old to start over.

Benson Brig March 1 F A Tracy manager of the Helvetia Mine at Vail was shot and killed by Lieutenant Harry Wheeler a ranger. Tracy allegedly threatened to shoot D W Silverton and his wife Wheeler arrested Tracy and was himself shot and wounded twice by Tracy Wheeler taken to Tombstone hospital.
