Kathleen Reidell eighteen of White Bear Lake high school was given a five-year suspended sentence in Ramsey County District Court. Judge John W. Graff placed her on probation and ordered psychiatric counseling as part of the terms. She pleaded guilty to aggravated assault for wounding her home economics teacher Mrs George Cipov in Hudson Wisconsin.
In Dubuque Iowa four youths aged about 17 allegedly grabbed a service station attendant after he asked them to pay for cigarettes. A lit firecracker was placed in the attendant's pants pocket causing a small injury before the assailants fled.
About 350 youths roamed in gangs on Buffalo New York East Side looting, smashing windows, and hurling objects at police. The disturbance ended before dawn with arrests and seven injured including four officers. A bus stone sparked the unrest and a female passenger lost teeth.
