Democratic Party Nominates Leonard A. Rosing for Minnesota Governor
The Democratic state convention in Minneapolis on June 26 nominated Leonard A. Rosing of Cannon Falls as the party’s standard bearer for governor by acclamation after a short roll call. Other statewide offices were similarly nominated by acclamation, with minimal contests and rapid finalization of the ticket. The convention featured surprise support for Rosing and a barbed critique of the Republican tax handling, followed by procedural motions and district committee selections.

Mayor Smith of St. Paul nominated for lieutenant governor by acclamation, amid surprise. The rest of the nominations were also by acclamation.
