Defense Fails To Secure Acquittal Bid In Haywood Trial
Boise Idaho June 22 After the state rested in the Haywood murder trial the defense failed to obtain a court order directing acquittal. Judge Wood ruled the defense must meet the state’s evidence and Haywood’s counsel will present opening testimony Monday. The session covered handwriting proofs involving Pettibone and remittances to Orchard, with additional testimony from Seahorn and prior gifts to Adams noted before the defense motion.
